An acrylic full set starts at $35 at US Nails and a fill is $25. Andy has been doing acrylic work for over ten years — bring a photo of the shape you want and he will tell you straight whether it will hold at that length.
What acrylic actually is, and when it is the right tool
Acrylic is a liquid and a powder mixed at the brush and sculpted onto your nail, where it hardens in the air. No lamp involved. It goes over your own nail or over a tip, and because it is sculpted it can be built to a shape and a length your natural nail would never reach.
That is the whole reason to choose it. If what you want is length, or a strong shape that survives a job where your hands take a beating, acrylic is the most durable thing on our menu. If what you want is colour on your own nails, a gel manicure at $35 or dip powder at $40+ is the better fit and we will say so.
Our acrylic menu & prices
Every price above is a starting point — length, shape and design move the total. Ask, and you will be told the number before anyone picks up a brush.
The fill cycle, and why it is the cheap part
A full set does not wear out. Your nail grows, and after two to three weeks there is a visible band of natural nail at the cuticle. A $25 fill closes that gap and rebalances the shape.
Do the arithmetic once and the pattern is obvious: a $35 set followed by fills costs far less over six months than a new set every time. It is also faster in the chair. The only reasons to start over are a change of shape or length, or a set that has taken real damage. We will tell you which you are looking at — and if a fill will do, we will do the fill.
There are six kinds of fill on our menu, priced by what is actually on your nails. The full fill list is here.
Removal — the part that matters
Almost every story about acrylics wrecking someone's nails is a story about how they came off. A set that is prised, picked or peeled takes layers of the nail plate with it, and that is what leaves nails thin, white and bendy for months afterwards.
Soaked off properly, it does not do that. Come in and let us take them off; it takes a few minutes and it is far cheaper than growing out the damage. If your nails have already been through it, IBX is the repair — $35 on its own, or $15 added under your colour, and it works on the nail as it grows rather than sitting on top of it.
Andy, and what to bring
Andy is the acrylic specialist here and has been doing this work for over ten years. Bring a photo if you have a shape in mind — coffin, almond, stiletto, square — or just describe it. He will tell you honestly if the length you are asking for will hold given how you use your hands, which is a more useful conversation than being told yes and having one snap in a fortnight.
We are family-run and have been at 7233 Forest Oaks Blvd for 23 years, five minutes from Timber Pines and about ten from Wellington at Seven Hills and Glen Lakes. Walk-ins are welcome; if you would rather have a set time, call (352) 686-5330.
